The Little Caterpillar’s Dream

The Little Caterpillar's Dream

In a garden full of colors, where pretty flowers grew,
A little, wiggly caterpillar crawled out to say, “Hello!”
It wiggled and it wobbled, looking all around,
In this world of fun and wonder, so many things it found.

“What’s this?” asked the caterpillar, finding a green, tasty leaf,
“Yum! A lovely snack!” it thought, and ate it in a jiff.
It munched and crunched so happily, growing day by day,
In the world of pretty colors, it danced and twirled away.

“Who’s that?” wondered the caterpillar, as a butterfly came by,
With wings like pretty rainbows, it danced across the sky.
“Hello there,” said the butterfly, with a smile, oh so sweet,
“I was once a caterpillar, just like you, with tiny feet.”

The caterpillar looked amazed, dreaming of the sky,
To become a pretty butterfly, it wished to spread its wings and fly.
“Tell me, please, how can I be like you one day,
With wings of many colors, and join you as you play?”

The butterfly smiled kindly, sharing its story true,
How in a cozy, little house, it changed and grew brand new.
With time and lots of patience, it turned into a prize,
A beautiful, fluttery creature, a sight for all the eyes.

The caterpillar listened, its eyes big and bright,
With dreams of transformation, it hoped with all its might.
It crawled and climbed so bravely, to find a place to rest,
A strong and sturdy little twig, to build its special nest.

Wrapped in a soft, silky house, it waited for the day,
When it would change and grow new wings, to flutter and to sway.
With dreams of wings like colors, and flights up in the blue,
The little, wiggly caterpillar, was ready to start anew.

So sleep tight, little ones, and dream of change and cheer,
For like the little caterpillar, your dreams can take you near.
Discover the world around you, learn and grow each day,
And with love, joy, and patience, you’ll find your special way.
